This morning at the piano, I was singing Charles Wesley’s “And Can It Be?”. His last verse ends “Bold I approach th’eternal throne, and claim the crown, through Christ, my own”. How glorious to have a crown….but Revelation 4:10 says the twenty-four elders (will we not follow their example?) will lay them at His feet….so I wrote a new last verse to follow his:

Then shall my crown, my reward, be lain
At Your feet, O Christ, the Lamb Who was slain
You rescued me from both darkness and death
Revived and filled me with Your breath
//Amazing love! How can it be?
That Thou my God, shouldst live in me!//
Everything we are, everything we have, we owe it all to Christ!
